Everyone registered in Dutchess County
Governor, Comptroller, Attorney General, Congress (District 18), State Senate and Assembly, County Legislature, Sheriff, and Supreme Court justices. Rhinebeck and Hyde Park also have town races; Red Hook has no town offices on the ballot this year. Rhinebeck votes on a Starr Library funding proposition. Check your own sample ballot — it differs by town and district.

Anyone voting by mail
A postmarked ballot still counts if it reaches the Board of Elections by Nov 10. You can also drop a sealed ballot at any early voting site during the early voting window, or at any county poll site by 9 PM on Election Day — and anyone may drop it off for you.

Village residents only
Villages run their own elections in March, separately from November, and they are not on the county ballot. The third Tuesday in March 2027 is the 16th. This follows the pattern in Village Law rather than a notice — each village posts its own around the new year, so confirm with your village clerk before relying on it. Red Hook has two trustee terms ending April 2027, so those seats are expected to be up.
Town and village boards, planning and zoning, public hearings, and candidate forums when they're announced.
Always confirm with your Board of Elections before relying on a date here.
