A community project for Rhinebeck, NY
Rhinebeck Community Connector is a free, independent website that pulls together events, activities, and happenings from across the Rhinebeck area — schools, the library, local organizations, farms, businesses, and more — into one place.
The goal is simple: it should be easy for anyone who lives in or visits Rhinebeck to find out what's going on without having to check a dozen different websites, Facebook groups, and community boards.
Events are collected automatically from public sources — school district calendars, library event pages, town notices, and local organization websites — and updated daily. Some listings come from community members who submit events directly through the site.
We try to keep things accurate, but we're pulling from a lot of sources and things change. If something looks wrong, please let us know — corrections are always welcome.
This site was built by Emily Lewis, a Rhinebeck resident and systems nerd who wanted a better way to stay connected to her community. It's a personal project, not affiliated with the town, the school district, or any business or organization listed here.
There's no advertising and no data collection. The site does have a small ongoing cost to keep running, so we may someday add an optional "buy me a coffee" style donation link for anyone who finds it useful and wants to chip in.
That'll always be entirely optional. The site will always be free to use, and paid placements, sponsored listings, and ads are off the table for good.
It exists because a connected community is a better community.
Know of an event or local organization that should be here? Want to suggest a correction or improvement? We'd love to hear from you. To submit an event or business to be added, navigate to the main page at rhinebeck.community and click the "Submit" button.
If you're curious about the person who built this and the work she does professionally: Emily runs a consulting practice called Grounded Systems, helping nonprofits, small businesses, and community organizations improve their operations and use technology more thoughtfully. You can find that work at groundedsystems.consulting.
